[eNews] Kellogg Global Electives in Macau

Over 200 Kellogg EMBA students from six partnering schools gathered together at the Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel for a 6-day program in December 2019 to learn about the local market and broaden their leadership skills, making the east-meet-west culture in Macau another ideal location for Kellogg students after Hong Kong.

A strong team of HKUST faculty led the program with lectures, case studies and facilitated discussions that focused on areas, including technology strategy by Prof HUI Kai-lung, Associate Dean of the School, understanding consumers’ psychology by Prof Jaideep SENGUPTA, dealmaking in China and Asia by Prof Laurence FRANKLIN, and value investing by Prof Milind RAO. The Kellogg students showed strong learning motivation and rewarding results from active class participation and high-quality group presentations.

To maximize their learning experience in Macau, the group enjoyed a welcome dinner at a local Portuguese restaurant, on the first day. During the dinner, Prof Hui also gave students a warm welcome note. The program concluded with a celebratory closing reception at an Italian restaurant to commemorate the students’ completion and hard work throughout the program.
